Burg Niederpleis in Sankt Augustin

Great staff, great things, fresh trees, fresh air, ... gladly again!

Very nicely decorated for Christmas and very cozy. We have already brought our Advent arrangement there again and there are fir trees in all sizes. The young Mrs. Nordhorn and her family are very lovable owners. They advise competently and with great commitment. We always like to go there at any time of the year. It's just a shame that Corona doesn't allow a nice and cozy Advent dinner this year.

In a nutshell: In my eyes, simply the world's best asparagus. The staff mostly very friendly and attentive. If asparagus in Sankt Augustin, then in any case at the castle.

Was there for the breakfast buffet on Sunday. That's just great. The hygiene concept also implemented perfectly. Super nice staff. Good selection at the buffet. In my opinion, only black bread, etc., and some fruit are missing. Otherwise, keep it up.

Very nicely located and discovered on a bike tour. A nice place with an inviting outdoor terrace. In times of Corona, the tables were cleaned thoroughly after each guest. There is a star suit for service. Although not many tables and not very many guests, we had longer waiting times before ordering and two or three misunderstandings when ordering food and drinks.

The farm shop is especially recommended in the asparagus season. Really good and tasty asparagus straight from the field. The asparagus is also peeled free of charge. There are enough parking spaces available, the staff were very nice.

As part of a business meeting with dinner, we booked a room in Niederpleis Castle. There is also enough parking space for a company. Before entering the celebration rooms, one goes through the farm shop, which, like the whole complex, makes a very good impression. Tidy, nicely decorated and not too cluttered. Here you like to have a look through. The room itself offers space for around 100 guests, who can go outside if necessary. Smokers can use this area very well. A nice large counter is also available. Food was specifically ordered from the grill, i.e. It was grilled outside by the castle staff and then brought inside to the buffet. Due to the weather, everything was set up here. Different types of meat, sausages, gyros, potato wedges, French fries, salad and plenty of other side dishes, as well as bread. All of the food was very tasty and you can only award 5 stars here. Since we didn't eat from the normal menu, I can't comment on this, but I assume that these dishes are also excellent. So far, I was not familiar with Niederpleis Castle and its possibilities, but I will soon try the possibility of a Sunday brunch. If you are looking for a nice setting for a celebration, you should visit Niederpleis Castle on site. Visiting the website also gives you a good overview. For the price of 12.90 euros (as of June 22, 2018) for the Sunday brunch, you have to look for an alternative for an extremely long time. This is very difficult, especially in this price range, I speak from my own experience. The service was very friendly and the drinks were delivered quickly, nobody had to wait longer for their drink. The overall impression is really very positive. Nice, cozy interior, friendly staff and really more than reasonable prices are plenty of reasons for further visits.
